   Artificial intelligence (AI) is the ability of a computer program or a machine to think and learn . A machine with the ability to perform cognitive functions such as perceiving,learning ,reasoning and solve problems are  deemed to hold an artificial intilligence.It is also a field of study which tries to make compurers " smart". in general use,the term "artificial intelligence" means a machine which mmics human cognition .at least some of the things we associate with other minds such as learning and problem solving can be done by computer .An ideal (perfect) intelligent machine is a fexible agent which preceives its enviroment and takes actions to maximize its chance of success at some goal or objective.Now a days ,Ai is used in lmost all industries ,giving a technological edge to all companies integrating AI at scale .According to McKinsey ,AI has the potential to create 600 billions of dollars of valve in retail ,bring 50 precent more incremetal valve in banking compared with other analytics techniques.in transport and logistic,the potential revenue jump is 89 precent more.
                                                                    At present we use the term AI for successfully understanding human speech.
